U.S. Inverter Manufacturing Capacity Tops 100 GW as FCC Rules Accelerate Domestic Investment
U.S. inverter manufacturing capacity is set to exceed 100 GW by 2027, driven by FCC regulations and domestic investments. Companies like EPC Power, TMEIC, GE Vernova, Enphase, and SolarEdge are expanding production. Enphase reported $291.9M revenue in Q2 2026, while SolarEdge recognized 50,500 inverters and 331 MWh of batteries in Q1 2026. Domestic inverters may initially cost more but could become competitive as production scales.
