LNG shipping stocks: UPI rises for a third week
The UP World LNG Shipping Index rose for a third week, gaining 2.83% to 206.09, while the S&P 500 fell 0.66%. Asian spot LNG prices climbed above $22/mmBtu, tied to heightened Strait of Hormuz risk, according to Energy Aspects and Reuters. Kpler cut its Qatar 2026 export forecast to under 27 million tonnes. COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation led gainers (+9.43%); Nakilat fell most (-3.87%).
