Nifty holds near 24,000, Sensex above 76,200 at midday; Eicher Motors, Wipro lead gains
Indian equities consolidated after a gap-up on Monday. By 12:30 pm, BSE Sensex was up 839.55 points (+1.11%) at 76,254.90, and NSE Nifty 50 gained 234.95 points (+0.99%) to 23,954.25, after briefly testing 24,000. Eicher Motors led Nifty gains; Max Healthcare led decliners. SBI Securities cited Nifty support at 23,850–23,870 and resistance at 24,100–24,120.
