Brazil: ASUR Takes Over Joinville Airport in Portfolio Deal
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) took over Joinville Airport in Brazil on September 4, 2026, as part of a R$5.1 billion acquisition of Motiva's entire airport platform. The deal includes 20 airports and has a total enterprise value of R$11.5 billion. ASUR, listed on the NYSE (ASR) and BMV (ASUR), now operates 36 airports across seven countries. The takeover was approved by Brazil's civil aviation regulator, ANAC.
