General Motors will equip all 2027 model-year GM EVs with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, covering Chevrolet, Cadillac, and GMC models listed by Electrek. GM says this enables direct use of compatible Tesla Superchargers and other NACS fast-charging networks, reducing reliance on its $275 NACS DC adapter used for some 2026 CCS1 vehicles.

Cadillac, a SAIC-GM brand, announced the all-new XT5 PHEV as the first production model using Momenta’s R7 world model for advanced driver-assistance at delivery. The SUV uses a 1.5T engine (115kW) plus dual motors (160kW front, 110kW rear) and a 35.5kWh Ultium 5C NCM battery. WLTC EV range is 155km and combined fuel use 6.05L/100km.
