Wix cuts 1,000 jobs amid AI transition
Wix says it plans layoffs affecting 800-1,000 employees, about a quarter of its workforce, as it increases AI investment. The company reported 14% quarterly revenue growth but a $57.5 million net loss, and said a $1.6 billion buyback reduced cash to $900 million. Wix acquired Base44 ($80 million) and Hour One.

Wix plans 800-1,000 layoffs
Wix.com plans to lay off 800–1,000 employees, according to sources cited by Globes, in its largest downsizing. The cuts will affect Israel and other locations. The move follows Wix ending its hybrid work model and is linked to broader restructuring. Globes notes Wix’s Q1 revenue rose 14.3% to $541m, but it posted a net loss and shares fell 5% after results.
