Nordic American Tankers owns, operates and charters Suezmax crude oil tankers, serving large international oil companies, oil traders and independent oil companies. Its vessels carry up to one million barrels of oil and are used on long-haul and medium-haul trade routes. The company earns money by chartering vessels for individual voyages in the spot market and through time-charter agreements. Most of its fleet is employed in the spot market, while some vessels operate under longer-term time charters. Technical management is provided by V.Ships Norway AS, Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd and Hellespont Ship Management GmbH & Co KG. As of December 31, 2025, Nordic American Tankers’ fleet consists of 20 Suezmax crude oil tankers. It is headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda.
