RingCentral disclosed a data breach after ShinyHunters’ claims and subsequent dark web publication. The company said it stopped unauthorized activity, investigated with a forensic firm, and has not seen new activity. It said only a limited portion of customers were affected and operations were unaffected. ShinyHunters claimed access to 623 GB and published data including 1.6M email addresses.

RingCentral said a social engineering attack led to exposure of about 1.6 million customer records, according to its July 28 advisory and Have I Been Pwned. Extortion group ShinyHunters claimed access via voice phishing and posted data after a reported payment deadline. RingCentral said it stopped the activity and saw no further unauthorized access, affecting only a limited customer portion.

Have I Been Pwned said it added RingCentral’s July security incident to its breach database on Aug. 13, citing leaked data with 1.6 million unique email addresses plus names, phone numbers, and physical addresses. RingCentral previously said only a limited customer portion was affected and services continued. The data may raise phishing risk, though a link to a separate impersonation campaign was not confirmed.

Security researchers at ZeroBEC say a phishing-as-a-service platform called Greatness has been used to spoof RingCentral emails and lure Microsoft 365 users to fake login pages that capture MFA-approved authentication tokens. Greatness is also reported to target iCloud, Yahoo, and Google Workspace accounts. The service is advertised on Telegram for $289 per month, per BleepingComputer.

In Tuesday premarket trading, enterprise software and cybersecurity stocks rose broadly after Palantir (PLTR) reported strong Q2 results and raised its full-year revenue outlook, citing demand for its AIP. The move was reinforced by lower Treasury yields tied to reduced Middle East conflict risk. Shares of Bandwidth (BAND), Rapid7 (RPD), Atlassian (TEAM), RingCentral (RNG), and CrowdStrike (CRWD) gained.

Simply Wall St reports RingCentral (RNG) rose 15.1% after it reported quarterly revenue of $657.01 million and net income of $39.12 million, raised full-year 2026 earnings guidance, and approved a higher quarterly dividend of $0.125 per share while continuing share repurchases. It also cites an expanded NiCE partnership and includes forecasts of $2.9 billion revenue and $350.7 million earnings by 2029.

RingCentral (RNG) rose to a four-year high after investors looked ahead to a dividend increase. The stock hit $55.30 intraday and closed at $53.70, up 11.16%. RingCentral will pay $0.125 per share on Aug. 20 to shareholders of record Aug. 6, 2026. Q2 revenue rose 5.9% to $657M; GAAP diluted EPS was $0.45.

RingCentral reported Q2 results that beat expectations, with non-GAAP EPS of $1.22 versus $1.16 and revenue of $657 million versus $650.5 million. The company raised full-year non-GAAP EPS to $4.96-$5.10 and revenue to $2.635B-$2.646B, plus free cash flow to $615M-$625M. It also increased its quarterly dividend by ~67% to $0.125.

RingCentral (NYSE:RNG) said it is launching an AI-native product initiative with OpenAI, including internal hackathons and use of tools such as ChatGPT Work and Codex in product development. It also expanded its bi-directional partnership with NiCE to integrate AI-powered UCaaS and CCaaS solutions. Investors may track joint deal wins and adoption of AI features.
